On Tuesday, children from Year 5 and Year 6 enjoyed an exciting visit to Hopetown Museum, where they joined pupils from schools across the town for a fantastic STEM Careers Event.

The event brought together a wide range of STEM-based companies and organisations, giving children the opportunity to explore the exciting world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Through a variety of interactive activities and hands-on experiences, pupils discovered how STEM skills are used in different industries and careers.

Throughout the day, the children had the chance to speak with industry professionals, ask questions and learn about the many pathways available to them in the future. These valuable conversations helped broaden their understanding of the opportunities that STEM subjects can provide.

The event was an inspiring experience that encouraged curiosity, creativity and ambition, while helping pupils make connections between their learning in school and the world of work.

We hope the day has inspired our future scientists, engineers, designers and innovators, and we look forward to seeing where their STEM journeys take them next!
